Our History

Established in 1999, Catalyst Interiors has since grown to become the UK’s leading provider of interior design & fit our services to the healthcare sector and continues to grow year on year as the sector expands further.

Established by Mike Davies who had worked in the sector as an Estates & Property Director for a major healthcare group through the 90’s, where he gained a unique insight into the needs of the growing healthcare sector and was part of the move to provide enhanced levels of interior design & standards of care to differentiate the offer the group made, our company has continued to expand its capabilities and keep abreast of all research & specialist knowledge to continually improve its value proposition to the sector.

Recognising that being more than an interior design business, or provider of care home furniture, the opportunity existed to become ‘best in class’ as a complete turnkey solution provider to the healthcare sector. In the two decades since our formation we have always been passionate about achieving the very highest standard of design and fit-out as we know that we do is fundamental to the quality of care that is ultimately delivered. Comfort in healthcare means more than choosing chairs & other furniture, or deciding on the softness of a cushion or the colour scheme to employ, although that is not to diminish the importance of such choices, rather it is the overall goal of being the very best in what we do.

Our strength, underpinned by award, peer recognition & continued annual growth, is the creation of environments in healthcare where we meet and indeed surpass the needs & expectations of our customers, the dedicated operators of such healthcare facilities where the care, comfort and wellbeing of their customers , will both distinguish their offer as a superior 5 star offering.
